REVIEW: Gabriel's Redemption (Gabriel's Inferno #3) by Sylvain Reynard

Synopsis

Professor Gabriel Emerson has left his position at the University of Toronto to embark on a new life with his beloved Julianne. Together, he’s confident that they can face any challenge. And he’s eager to become a father.

But Julianne’s graduate program threatens Gabriel’s plans, as the pressures of being a student become all consuming. When she is given the honor of presenting an academic lecture at Oxford, Gabriel is forced to confront Julianne about the subject of her presentation—research that conflicts with his own. And in Oxford, several individuals from their past appear, including an old nemesis intent on humiliating Julia and exposing one of Gabriel’s darkest secrets.

In an effort to confront his remaining demons, Gabriel begins a quest to discover more about his biological parents, beginning a chain of events that has startling repercussions for himself, Julianne, and his hope of having a family.

My Thoughts

I honestly don't know where to start with what to say about Gabriel's Redemption! I really enjoyed reading it! I loved that we got see what happens to all the characters we came to love (and even hate) over the first two books in the series. Yes, there was a lot going on during Gabriel's Redemption, as it's focus was on all the characters, although primarily on Gabriel and Julianne.

Sylvain Reynard has a unique writing style. It is extremely descriptive, and literally transports you into the story. The connection to the characters is already there, as it was developed reading Gabriel's Inferno and Gabriel's Rapture, but I enjoyed learning more about some of the lesser characters throughout the trilogy.

I would have liked an epilogue. Maybe a year of so in the future. I would love to know what happens with Rachel and Aaron's "situation".

Overall, the Gabriel's Inferno trilogy is fantastic, and one of my favorites. If you haven't read these books yet, I highly recommend that you do.

I received an ARC through NetGalley as part of the blog tour, in exchange for an honest review.
