AUDIO TOUR: More Than Water (More Than Water #1) by Renee Ericson

More Than Water by Renee Ericson
Publication Date: January 12, 2016
Genres: New Adult, Contemporary, Romance

Synopsis

It doesn’t feel right. It doesn’t feel wrong. It just...feels.

EJ Cunning, an art history major, dates musicians. Foster Blake, a chemical engineering major, can’t sing a tune. They’re not each other’s type. They’re coworkers.

Then, one night leads to sex—sex between friends—which leads to an agreement. It all seems so simple—but nothing ever is.

Many layers build a person’s facade.

Look into the depths for what’s hidden within.

It’s more than water. It’s a story—a living and breathing substance beyond the reflective surface.

My Thoughts

I had actually purchased the Kindle eBook of More Than Water by Renee Ericson in October 2015. I hadn't read it yet, so it was the perfect time for me to do so, while adding audio narration to it!

I really enjoy my Kindle books that I have added audio narration to. The narration seems to give the story added depth and bring it to life more. Plus, there's the added bonus of being able to LISTEN if you can't read - in the car, while going for a walk - you get the picture.

More Than Water focuses on Evelyn, or EJ as she likes to be called, and Foster. EJ is an art history major, while Foster is a chemical engineering major. They are total opposites. But while working together at the campus library, they begin a friendship that develops into something more - friends with benefits.

As with any relationship, EJ and Foster have their ups and downs. And while Foster soon becomes one of the few people that truly knows EJ as a person and not for her family's stature, he is also hiding his true self from her.

I enjoyed the story of More Than Water as a whole. It had  a "punch you in the face" moment when the title made sense, and although I found some situations predictable, I was definitely cheering for EJ and Foster the whole way through. As the story progressed, the feels were certainly there, leaving me with the fluttery happy feeling at the very end.

Meghan Kelly did a wonderful job of narrating this story. The tones she used for the different characters were consistent throughout the recording. Her voice was easy on the ears, enjoyable to listen to and definitely made my reading experience a lot more rewarding.

I was gifted an Audible copy of More Than Water by Renee Ericson as part of the tour.
