IN THE SPOTLIGHT: The Eraser Series by Megan Keith

Eraser (Eraser #1) by Megan Keith

Synopsis

A man with no name.
Mysterious.
Dangerous.
Brooding.
Sexy.

Once a week he frequents the bar where Mackenzie works. He orders the same drink, scotch on the rocks, and he sits back on the same lounge chair, quietly watching… waiting…

He has money - that much is obvious. He wears his tailored suits well. He smells divine, of expensive cologne, and orders his scotch from the top shelf.

He drinks alone, but he never leaves that way. With a snap of his fingers, a flick of his eyes, a glimmer of a smile, he gets the attention of the most attractive women in the bar.

This time his focus is on Mackenzie. Instead of feeling nervous Mackenzie is enthralled, intrigued… and aroused.

My Thoughts

I don't like reviewing novellas. Some of them are so short and it becomes very easy to give the story away.  But, I really enjoyed Eraser by Megan Keith. Again, it was short, but it is a novella after all.

I won't retell the story. The synopsis pretty much sums it up. But I will say this:

The attraction that Mackenzie feels for Sir was literally tangible. Megan Keith was so descriptive with her wording that I was eagerly anticipating Mackenzie and Sir's encounter. And when that night finally came? OH WOW! It was SOOO HOT! Definitely panty melting!

I loved the epilogue from Sir's POV. We got a small glimpse into his mind and I felt that the story needed it - to uncloak some of Sir's mysterious persona.

I received an ARC from the author in exchange for an honest review.

Eraser Blue (Eraser#2) by Megan Keith

Synopsis

He was mysterious, brooding and sexy.

She was his for only one night.

It was a night she would never forget.

His rules have changed.

Now he’s back. He’s staking his claim.

He is done with waiting.

He is the powerful drug that Mackenzie craves.

She wants more - wants him - whoever he is...

My Thoughts

Eraser Blue carries on from where Eraser left us. During the second volume of this series of novellas we get more of Mackenzie and Sir.

As the synopsis states, Sir has changed his mind and wants to stake his claim on Mackenzie. She is thrilled as it proves that she is indeed different to all the other women she has seen Sir with.

Mackenzie and Sir's 'relationship' isn't all smooth sailing though.

In Eraser Blue we get more of Sir's POV. I enjoyed getting inside Sir's head. Megan Keith has written the POV changes immaculately. I actually found myself back tracking a little at times as I didn't realise the change had happened.

Once again, the chemistry between the two is tangible. It literally jumps out of the pages at you. And as in Eraser, the sex scenes were AMAZINGLY HOT!

I can't wait for the next installment in the Eraser series. I am getting eager to know Sir's real name - if we will ever get told it!

Eraser Lilac (Eraser #3) by Megan Keith

Synopsis

Mackenzie Reed.

She’s beautiful.

Captivating and intelligent.

Sexy.

Forgiving.

His desire for her is all consuming. The need to own her, to make her his … unprecedented.

Their powerful attraction cannot be denied.

He promised never to lie to her, but what if telling the truth prevents him from getting what he wants?

He’s determined to keep her, whatever the cost.

My Thoughts

Eraser Lilac gave me a completely different 'vibe' while reading it than what I felt reading the two previous installments in this series of novellas. It wasn't a bad vibe, but my feelings towards the characters had changed a little. Let me try to explain...

For those that have read Eraser and Eraser Blue, I'm almost certain that the ending of Eraser Blue stuck with you. When I finished Eraser Blue, that 'moment' right at the end didn't bother me. I was too eager to know if we were going to find out Sir's real name. I overlooked that 'situation' I guess. But when I started Eraser Lilac, I felt myself feeling anger towards Sir and Mackenzie. I was angry that Sir had did what he did, and I was angry at Mackenzie for just 'getting over it', accepting it and so eagerly willing to move on to their next sexual encounter.

But as I read my way through the third novella in this series, my feelings changed towards these two main characters once again. I soon forgot my anger for Sir as his actions towards Mackenzie melted my heart. He was still the same domineering Sir we got in the previous novellas, but we got to experience a softer, more caring side of him. Not in the bedroom (or the changing room) though! Sexually, he is still as dominant, experienced and HOT as ever.

Although my anger towards Mackenzie did fade, it didn't completely disappear. It is beginning to baffle me how she can so willingly accept his vague answers and still want to be in the type of 'relationship' that they have together without really knowing anything about him - let alone his name! Is she that hard pressed for some hanky panky?!?!?

And as for Sir's name... Is that major bomb at the end possibly true? Is that really his name?

Overall, I really enjoyed Eraser Lilac. We are SLOWLY getting more information on Sir as this series progresses. The chemistry between Sir and Mackenzie is out of this world, and Megan Keith definitely knows how to write scenes that will make you need a cold shower. I look forward to continuing Mackenzie and Sir's story.
